Today, at KualalumpurStores, we bring you a list of six Christmas plans for the whole family that you can do near our shops in the Canary Islands. Why not enjoy, for example, a parade after finishing your Christmas shopping? Let’s start with this Christmas #KualaExperience!
Christmas accompanied by the best weather in Arona
Enjoying the good weather in the south of Tenerife while spending time with the family can be the perfect plan. This year, the Arona Town Hall has prepared a Christmas agenda designed for the whole family.
In its programme you can find activities such as its so-called ”route with a Christmas flavour”, its successful craft fair or workshops for children. In addition, as every year, activities such as the Christmas concert, the charity football match or the New Year’s concert will take place. All this accompanied by a programme that extends almost daily from morning until almost nightfall.
And if there is one thing that stands out in this town, it is its Christmas lights and more than 1,600 Christmas decorations. This is the most important Christmas lighting in the south of the island and one of the most extensive in the whole island of Tenerife. Do you know of a better atmosphere for your Christmas shopping in the Canary Islands than this?
Activities, gastronomy and much more in Adeje
From the 29th of November until the 9th of January Adeje offers daily activities for the whole family in its Christmas programme. Beginning with its solidarity chocolate crib and craft fair, to the visit of the Three Magic Kings from the East for the little ones.
If you are one of those who like authentic Christmas traditions, in Adeje you can find a variety of events dedicated to traditional Christmas carols. Another activity that delights the whole family is the representation of the living nativity scene in which the youngest to the oldest members of the family can participate.
There will also be a special day for the little ones to hand in their letters to Father Christmas and the Three Magic Kings from the East. But without a doubt the most awaited activities are the concert of the well-known group Los Sabandeños and the royal walk of the Three Magic Kings.
Solidarity Christmas in San Bartolomé de Tirajana
Another Christmas plan to do in the Canary Islands can be found in San Bartolomé de Tirajana. Here the council has prepared this year a Christmas agenda in which the main theme is solidarity. How? By offering free events in which a donation of 1 kilo of food or personal hygiene products is required in order to attend.
With a wide variety of activities where the most important thing is citizen participation, this Christmas you can attend a host of activities. These include the choral music concert, the Christmas watercolour and Christmas decoration workshops, the solidarity Christmas gathering and the nativity scene route .
On the other hand, and as a consequence of the current health situation, children will be able to connect via video call for several days with their Majesties the Magic Kings and tell them what their wishes are for this Christmas.
All this accompanied by shows for the little ones, Christmas markets and its incredible decoration and light show.
A programme for the whole family in Tías
This year the town of Tías, located on the island of Lanzarote, has opted for an innovative programme for all ages. In addition to its traditional Christmas activities, such as the Christmas festival of the dance school, this year has incorporated other new activities. Christmas rap battles, zumba festivals for the whole family, solidarity events with activities such as diving or Christmas ornaments workshops among others.
As for the older people, the town has dedicated activities exclusively for them, including a visit to the most famous nativity scenes in the area and the screening of the documentary ”los mayores de hoy” (the elderly of today). On the other hand, for the little ones, there will be activities such as storytelling, a visit from Father Christmas and the Three Magic Kings and workshops.
One thing you can’t miss is the fireworks display that will take place on 1 January at 01:00 to mark the arrival of 2022. Are you ready to welcome the new year?
Music, passacaglia and Christmas for the little ones
From the 1st of December until the 5th of January, the municipality of Yaiza has prepared daily activities focused this year mostly on children.
In its agenda you can find concerts, live shows in the street, Christmas ornament workshops, storytelling sessions, children’s musicals and a long etcetera.
Undoubtedly, the most awaited Christmas plans for the whole family are the passacaglia with the performance of the Rancho de Pascuas from Yaiza and the handing over of the keys to the Magic Kings from the East.
How about ending a shopping day in Tías in our shop with the Ilusioland show by Los Cantadores?
Local shops, ice rink and a funfair for the whole family in Puerto de la Cruz
Without a doubt, the town of Puerto de la Cruz is one of those with one of the most complete programmes and for that reason, it could not be missing from our list of Christmas plans.
This Christmas, the municipality has decided to base its agenda on three fundamental pillars. Its gastronomy with activities such as ”la ruta de la tapa” or ”tapeando”, the local shops with days dedicated to commerce and fun for the little ones with theatres, children’s shows or passacaglia.
In addition, it has distinguished itself from other towns by opening its own ice rink to the public, creating activities such as ”chocolateando” in which you can get your hot chocolate on presentation of your ticket for purchases made in shops such as our Kualalumpur shop and offering a packaging service in the streets.
However, its highlight is its Christmas funfair, which, like every year, attracts thousands of people thanks to its attractions and gastronomic stalls for the whole family.
Now that you know all the Christmas plans that await you at our shops, what are you waiting for to visit us and spend an incredible Christmas day with your family?
